PARKING

Ample free parking is available in the underground garage and in the Cascade and Olympic parking lots on the east and west side of the campus. Please see the above maps for more details.

INFO SESSIONS

Having a knee replacement at Swedish Issaquah? If so, then you can attend a free orthopedic seminar and get your questions answered!

  • It will inform you about what to expect before surgery, on the day of surgery and for the first several weeks after surgery. This class will include recommendations on how to prepare your home for a comfortable recovery.

  • Held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month (exceptions on holiday weeks) at 11 a.m. in the first floor conference room by the North entrance.

  • Registration is required. Call 425-313-7000.


REMINDERS

  • Please read through the Preparing for Surgery Patient Handbook prior to surgery.

  • 8 hours before your scheduled arrival time:

    • STOP eating all solid foods and drinking liquids you cannot see through.

    • NO milk or dairy products, coffee creamer, chewing gum, lozenges, alcohol.

    • You may drink clear liquids, such as water, Gatorade, plain gelatin, apple juice without pulp, clear tea or black coffee.

  • 2 hours before your scheduled arrival time STOP drinking all liquids.

  • Please make arrangements for a responsible adult to take you home after your surgery; you will not be allowed to leave alone or drive yourself home.


THINGS TO BRING TO SURGERY

  • Photo ID.

  • Insurance card.

  • Form of payment if you have been notified of a co-pay, deductible, etc.

  • Copy of Advanced Directive (if applicable).

  • Legal documentation for power of attorney or legal guardian (if applicable).

  • List of current medications and allergies.

  • Case for glasses, contacts, dentures as needed.

  • Crutches, sling, brace, boot, ice machine, etc.

  • Inhaler if you have asthma.

  • CPAP machine and mask if you have sleep apnea.

  • Insulin if you have diabetes.

  • A magazine, book, etc. to help you stay relaxed. We make every attempt to stay on schedule, but sometimes delays are unavoidable.


INSURANCE

Before proceeding with surgery, please verify HERE that your insurance is accepted at Swedish, as the hospital has different contractual agreements with your insurance company than POSM (Proliance Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine).
